Review by hotel critic
Staying at Don Carlo was a delightful experience, offering a good balance between luxury and value. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was well-appointed, with a decently sized shower and complimentary toiletries adding a touch of luxury. One standout feature was the generous breakfast served on the charming terrace, showcasing homemade treats and fresh, local ingredients. The hosts, Karina and Carlos, exuded warmth and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Their local recommendations for dining and activities added a personalized touch to the experience. While the property lacked certain amenities like a coffee shop or in-room breakfast, its central location and proximity to key attractions more than made up for it. The availability of tours and ticket assistance was a convenient perk for exploring the area.Don Carlo offers a fantastic value proposition for travelers seeking a comfortable and welcoming stay in Tropea. The attention to detail and genuine hospitality provided by the hosts make it a worthwhile choice for those looking to balance cost with quality during their visit.
